Jack and Ashley Ketteman

Bio

PRESENT MINISTRY
Approved as missionary interns to Tokyo, Japan, in December 2017, Jack and Ashley Ketteman are seeking prayer and financial partners for their two–year internship. The couple hopes to be ready to head to Tokyo in the fall of 2018. They plan to work with Heath and Joni Hubbard and Daniel and Shelby Culwell to begin a bilingual church in the Tokorozawa City area of Tokyo.

CONVERSION
Both Jack and Ashley were raised in faithful Christian homes in Nashville, Tennessee. After seeing a friend baptized and asking questions, Jack’s parents, Greg and Jill Ketteman, explained the significance of baptism and the way to salvation to him. They prayed with him as six-year-old Jack asked Jesus into his life. Jack attended Welch College, where godly friendships, the eye-opening teaching of God’s Word, rich times of corporate prayer, timely encouragement and mentoring, and more served to strengthen his Christian walk. He graduated with a degree in youth ministry and music in 2001.

As a four-year-old, Ashley attended an evangelistic event in downtown Nashville with her parents, Johnny and Martha Carter. Seeing large numbers of people kneeling in prayer prompted questions her parents answered on the drive home and once home. Ashley prayed that evening, confessing sin and asking forgiveness. In middle school, Ashley read Corrie ten Boom’s The Hiding Place. Challenged by Corrie’s faith, Ashley says her personal relationship with Christ really began then. E-TEAM trips to Cuba (2001, 2003) and Spain (2002) birthed a burden for the world. Ashley attended Welch College for two years before transferring to Aquinas College and obtaining a degree in nursing in 2006.

Jack and Ashley married in 2004.
